"PappaRich Australia would like to respond to the recent enquiries from Halal Food Review in regards to our Halal Certification status. The concern was that PappaRich Australia had been misleading customers with the Halal Certificate for our meat.
We’d like to thank our customers and the Halal Food Review for bringing this to our attention, and we’d like to be open and clear in communicating our position.
PappaRich Australia is different to PappaRich Malaysia in the sense that some of our venues sell alcohol. For this reason, our restaurants within Australia cannot be Halal certified, nor have we ever sought Halal certification. Our aim is to continue catering to customers from all walks of life as best as we can.
It is important to note, however, that the meats we buy into the shops are all Halal Certified, and we do not introduce pork or any pork by-products into our restaurants."
